If you are not entirely confident in your snow skills yet, we recommend starting on the Školní slope. You can enjoy a bit of forest riding or special acceleration bumps, but thanks to the gentle slope, you will always have plenty of time to stop and enjoy the scenery. Moreover, the ski school in this area always allows you to improve your skills under the supervision of experienced instructors.
More advanced skiers and snowboarders will head to the Pod Obrovcem slope, which is adjacent to the snow park. From the lift, you can take a short forest transfer to the Střecha slope, which is the steepest in the area.
In the vicinity of Kubova Huť, at an altitude of around 1,100 meters above sea level, we machine-groom a total of 25 km of cross-country ski trails.
The perfect grooming and tracks are maintained by a specially trained Kässbohrer Pistenbully 100.
Cross-country ski trails
Almost everyone knows where Kubova Huť is, thanks to the highest railway station or the locals whose exceptional charm is famous throughout the country. If someone forgets, you can find us 10 km south of Vimperk, in a romantic saddle between Obrovec and Boubín. By car, just follow road number 4, which connects Prague with Bavarian Passau. At Kubova Huť, you will find two parking lots. In addition to the main parking lot, there is also a smaller parking lot near the Pod Obrovcem slope.
Please, if possible, use one of the designated parking lots and refrain from driving into the village. Thank you.
